Hardening our hearts to God means that we see the Truth and we hear the Truth but we choose to ignore the Truth. This is the same game that Pharoh played with Moses that ended up costing him a son and an army. This is the same game that people play today when they ignore God's warnings and His commands for their lives. Hardening the heart can come with severe temporal and eternal consequences. So rather than harden our hearts to God we should submit ourselves to His Word, His Will, and His Way.
