There is nothing more disheartening than to see someone you have discipled get on the wrong spiritual track. Paul up until this point was making a purely academic case for the superiority of God's Grace over the law. However, at this point Paul starts to become more personal in His appeal. The Galatians were his friends and even more importantly his spiritual children. Paul wasn't worried about numbers he was truly concerned for their souls.
I. We should never stop appealing to the wayward soul. vs 12
II. We should remind them of where they came from. vs 12-16
III. We should warn them about their error. vs 17-18
IV. We should remind them that we love them. vs 19-20
