2 Corinthians 3:1-6

I have always heard and believed that "it takes a lifetime to build a reputation and only a moment to lose it'. Paul had worked hard in Corinth to establish himself as a trustworthy, God fearing, God called, minister of the Gospel. As Paul fends off the attacks of false apostles he has a sterling reputation to fall back on.
