We know that Jesus was betrayed by Judas and it makes sense that the Jewish leaders would betray Him as well. However, it's important to remember that the betrayal of Jesus was a total betrayal by everyone. No one stood with Him when it mattered the most and the burden of the cross was something that He bore entirely on His own. We can have our own opinions about those betrayals but we have to remember if we had been there we would have betrayed Jesus just like they did.
