Character > Appearance
Mark 12:38-44
I think we have all heard that looks can be decieving. In this passage Jesus makes it very apparent that someones appearance doesn't always reflect their character. There will always be individuals that look good but are rotten to the core. We need to do our best to avoid being fooled but also examine our own lives to be sure we are consistently being obedient to God's will.
I. We should be more cautious of religion, not less cautious. vs 38

III. The consequences of pretending to be faithful are severe. vs 40
IV. Character is revealed in faithfulness. vs 41-44
