I think we have all read the verse that says we should be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves and wondered what that looks like. I personally think this passage here in Mark 12 demonstrates the intent of that statement perfectly. Here Jesus does not give ground to false teachers and also correctly instructs the people to do God's will. We should always be praying for the wisdom we need to rightly navigate the pitfalls and traps of the enemy.

II. The enemy is willing to flatter you to ensnare you. vs 14
III. The enemy is dangerously deceptive but our God is wiser. vs 14-17
