The parable of the vineyard owner teaches us an awful lot about the character of God and His love for His people. It also helps us to understand the severity of our own sinful ways and the patience that He has with each of us when we stray. While we may find the Lord's actions in the parable to be comforting the actions of the tenants are appaling. We must remember that this parable was pointed directly at the religious leaders of the day and their rejection of the Savior. Yet and still this parable clearly illustrates the danger and the injustice of living our lives without surrendering to the Lord.
