Jesus power was on full display when He cursed the fig tree and it subsequently withered away. The disciples were amazed by what had happened and Jesus began to teach them about the power of God available to them through prayer. They would go on to establish the church and spread the Gospel throughout the world and it was the power of prayer that helped them to effectively live and die for the Gospel! The same power that Jesus taught the disciples about is the same power that is available to you and I through prayer as we serve the Lord.
