2 Corinthians 8:9

In the previous verses Paul showcased the commitment of the Macedonian church to the purposes of God. He descibes their dedication and then attributes it in entirety to the Grace of God. They gave sacrificially because they had received the benefits of God's grace and today we will be examining the Grace of God that motivated the Macedonians.

I. God offers His grace to us even though He doesn't need to. vs 9

a. God owns everything

b. His riches are not material

c. He is equal to the Father d. He is preexistent

e. He is eternal

f. He is Omniscient

g. He is Omnipotent

II. God offers His grace to us sacrificially. vs 9

a. Jesus was fully Man

b. Tempted in all ways

c. Endured Suffering

d. Experienced death I

II. When we receive God's Grace we receive His blessings. vs 9

a. We can exchange the poverty of sin for the richness of His righteousness.

b. We can exchange death for life.

c. We can exchange darkness for light.
